iPod Unhappy Face Help ?

Alright so I recently got a used iPod. Its a classic, don’t know what kind.
Anyways. When I turn it on, it displays an “Unhappy” ipod image. When i plug it into the computer, it also displays message, but the battery is REALLY low, so it keeps charging the battery up a bit, then it tries to start, shows unhappy face, then goes back to “Charging”

It’s not under warranty, and I can’t send it to apple.
I’m looking for an answer BESIDES sending it to a repair shop.

also it is making a clicking noise.
To be totally specific.

Turn iPod on, Clicks, shows apple, starts clicking again, then shows an unhappy iPod.

Plug iPod into computer:
Shows apple, clicking, unhappy face, then “Very low battery please wait.”

It does not show up in the windows external drive thing, or in iTunes
I don’t know how old it is sorry.

Maybe it just doesn’t like my taste in music. = P

My ipod classic is locked?

My ipod classic is locked
I tried to unlock it by plugging it in to the first computer it synced to and i also resetted it several times(the reset on apple.com)
it doesnt unlock

what should i do?
i dont want to take it to the apple store or take it for repair, but if that’s the only choice, i want to know how much it will cost

Ipod Classic A/V cable problems?

-Sorry, I have to put this is VERY simple terms for people to understand.
I have an Ipod already, I DON’T need another one.
Don’t advertise to me of where to get one.

-I want to watch videos from my ipod on my TV screen using a A/V cable. I’ve connected everything correctly and when I try to view a video/podcast, a message pops up and says “TV OUT Enabled. Please Connect Video accessory.” But everything is connected. What does this mean? What am I doing wrong.

IF YOU DON’T KNOW, DON’T ANSWER.
Yes, I’ve tried several differnt TV’s in my house. Do you think that it could just be the cord?

Can I use my iPod Classic accessories with an iPod Shuffle?

My Classic died. While saving up for a new one, I’d like to get something cheaper, like a Shuffle.
But the Classic has a dock connector so that’s how I connect to the speakers, car system, etc. So, is there a cable or something that would let me connect a Shuffle to the dock? What would I look for? Thanks!
The pictures show the Shuffle only has an earphone-type connection. The Classic is connected to speakers, etc. through what Apple calls a “dock connector port.” Is there a cable that can make a earphone port connect to a dock port?

iPod repair help.?

I have and iPod Classic. I plugged some old headphones into it and when I took them out a piece of the headphone stayed attached to the headphone jack. Is there some way to get the piece out of the headphone jack myself without damaging it?

iPod repair?

So, I accidentally put my iPod Classic (80 gb) into the washing machine and I let it dry for a week. After that week, I plugged in my iPod and the iPod itself works fine, but the backlight won’t turn on. I’ve had this iPod since 10/31/08, which means that it’s still “covered” under the default 1-year Apple warranty. I was thinking I could send it back to Apple for repair.

Anyone have any advice as to how to proceed, or any other suggestions?
