Hey thinking about buying one. Any good? Does it tae good videos? How are the movies (that you can put on it) and pictures? Is it worth it? Should I buy it for my 16 year old friend’s daughter? (She loves computers and cameras and she wants an ipod….so this is the next best thing.)
I have a 1GB 1st Gen Ipod Shuffle that was given to me from my friend.He said he didn’t know if it worked or not but he got a new one so he didn’t need this one. So I go home , download itunes and install it. I put in the shuffle and to my surprise the computer reads it. I open up itunes and send two songs that are from the sample music folder in windows , the music then gets transferred. I left my ipod on charge overnight and I wake up this morning and the light is green. I then took it out of my laptops usb port and turned it on. Here’s the problem ……there is nothing when I turned it on , no light , no sign of it even being on….To tell you the truth i’ve never had a shuffel and I didn’t even know how to turn it on , I then found some headphones , put them in the shuffle and I get nothing. I can listen to my ipod’s music on the laptop , i can charge it, the computer reads it , but yet there is no sign of any power when I turn it on. When I turn it over to the back….there is g

My friend and I are going to watch a movie on my laptop, so we decided to use a headphone splitter. When I plugged the splitter into my computer, then plugged 2 sets of headphones into the other ends, the sound only came out of one earpiece per headphone. Why is this? It totally defeats the purpose of having a headphone splitter. If I wanted sound in one ear I could just share my iPod headphones with my friend.
I just thought id ask for my friend. He just got his brothers old ipod and he stupidly left it in his jeans which went in the wash. So then me and him tried to fix it ourselves and we ended up pretty much destroying the thing. I mean I still have the hard drive and I can snap the thing back together, however many circuits were cut and whatever the screen is is all cut up. So basically im just wondering if theres any website that will take your old broken ipod with busted up pieces and repair it for a reasonable price.
I have an 2G ipod nano from 2005 and the battery is dying (it can hold a charge for 2 hours tops). I went to the store and they said I can get a new one for a 10% discount or replace the battery for $70. I also have a friend who had an old ipod and replaced the battery several times (which cost her each time) before finally shelling out even more for a new one. So my question is: If I want to save money overall is it better to repair it or replace it?
I just bought an Archos gmini 402 and I want to watch tv shows and movies on it. My friend has an ipod 30gb video and he says he can just search for tv shows like Monk on iTunes and he can buy them from there. Does Windows Media Player have anything like that, and how much to the movies/tv shows cost?

I have a loose headphone jack on my Video iPod, and I have a reservation at the Apple Store. They said they are going to take a look at it and is going to estimate the price of the repair. I really want to know what the price will be because I bought it from my friend and he said it had a loose headphone jack and I had to go to the Apple Store to fix it, and he would pay me the price that I had to pay.
Mostly what I’m trying to say is that I know some of you people have been to the Apple Store and fixed a loose headphone jack. Can you guys please tell me the price on this repair?

i had a faulty ipod so i requested a repair box. i sent it last week and they received it on the 7th. My friend’s only took 3 days after sending it in to have it sent back to her. mine was engraved so they gave me the option of having it re-engraved but it would take a few more days. since they started servicing it on the 7th how long will it take to get back here?
hmmmm should i get the ipod with movies or should i get this mp3 player that my friend said is comin out that well beat out the ipod
