Hey thinking about buying one. Any good? Does it tae good videos? How are the movies (that you can put on it) and pictures? Is it worth it? Should I buy it for my 16 year old friend’s daughter? (She loves computers and cameras and she wants an ipod….so this is the next best thing.)
Hey, I have had an iPod touch for about a month and it was working fine until recently. My iPod crashed and it is not recognized by iTunes. Even if i put it in restore mode and try to restore it, i get error 1604 or 1603. I have tried the iBrickr program and it worked the first couple times this happened but now it doesnt recognize it. The only solution that i have left would be to send it in to Apple. The only thing is that im not sure if i would get in any trouble for jailbreaking it. I know i paid for it and all but i guess they would consider it my fault for breaking it considering the fact that i jailbroke it. What happens it when i boot up the iPod the apple logo pops up and that is all. Once i put it in restore mode, the connect to iTunes thing pops up and when i try to restore it to 1.1.4 or to 1.1.1 i get an error. Would i get in trouble sending it in or would they repair it and send it back for what ever amount they usually charge?

I have had my ipod for about two years now and I have never had a problem with it. However recently it will not charge and it takes it days untill it tells me on ITUNES that it is plugged in.
2 weeks ago I let it go down flat and when I plugged it in on my laptop itunes didnt tell me it was plugged in and nothing came on the screen, it was completely dead, my friend tried re-starting it by holding down certian buttons, i plugged it in to my dads computer and nothing happened as well as plugging it in to my IPOD dock. I took it to a shop to get it repaired and the sales man put it on a ipod dock and it started charging and it worked well again, but now its happened again, there is no apple logo or anything and the weird thing is, when i put it in my dads computer (when i explained in the text^^) i had all of my dads songs in there :S ive tried it on another IPOD lead and nothing is happening
Is there a reason for this? + do you know why it is doing it?

I’m wondering if apple will repair my ipod touch and if so, is there a set price? Also, if anyone has any suggestions on better repair options, my ears are open. The only damaged part is the black metal lining. I have careless friends…

I’ve been searching for a cheaper price, but it just doesn’t come cheaper than $300.
I know I should find a place that sells it so I can try it out, but I don’t think one exists.
I made over $500 this summer, and was planning on buying a new ipod, but that costs about the same amount as this. If I could do that I could buy this right?
Oh, and I’m a college student with limited funds, though I have parents who are willing to give me money, and I have a campus job, though that might actually go towards my tuition instead of coming to me.
Maybe I can give santa some money to go towards my gift? Or pay for it myself and have santa buy me the accessories?
Or maybe it’s just too insane for me to even consider. But it’s so pretty! And it can be plugged into a computer and everything!
I’m taking piano and I enjoy it, so maybe it’s actually practical? Somehow?

Hey everyone,
My friend dropped my 4th generation ipod a few days ago and I’ve been looking for instructions on how to repair it myself.
I tried going to the apple store, and they said they said the only thing they would do is replace it for $250, which is basically what you would pay for a new, video ipod with 10 more GB of storage.
The LCD screen broke and the hard drive is acting very strangely. Although both components may need to be replaced, I know for sure that the screen is broken (a large crack) and that it needs to be replaced.
Being that I’m looking for the least expensive way to do it, I’ve been looking on ebay for replacement LCD screens for my ipod, but then I realized that I have no clue how to open it.
There are no screws or any kind of fastening that’s visible from the outside. How do I open it without causing damage to the plastic on the front or scratching the chrome body?
