i recently sent my ipod for repairing and just got it back today, i plugged it into the computer and a message from i tunes came up saying: your ipod needs to be reformatted for use with windows. would you like to run itunes to restore your ipod?
i was just wondering if restoring my ipod would get rid of all the songs/videos i have on it or is there nothing to worry about?
thanks
thats the thing, it took me a good few hours to put all that stuff onto the ipod so i dont want it to get deleted and some of the stuff isint even on my computer anymore

My iTunes is not playing. When I start it up, theres a message that reads: iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly.
What can I do?
I’ve removed Quicktime and installed it it with a new one (the onee without iTunes). i tried to repair my Quicktime also.
when i got to my control panel and to sounds and audio devices, i can click on the tabs but i can’t click anything else. Everything is in that light grayish transparent color and it won’t allow me to click it. For example: if i wanted to mute or unmute my computer speakers…i couldnt because it can’t click it. nothing happens.
now if the last choice was to reinstall iTunes, how can i save all my music and movies so that i can reimport it all onto the new iTunes that i download? What is the easiest way? Can I import the music and videos from my iPod to my computer? If so how?

…and it doesn’t work! Whenever I plug it into my computer it tells me i need to restore it, and when I restore it the same message pops up. I’ve tried everything that the troubleshooting advice on the website tells you, but nothing works. What will happen when I take it to the Apple store? Will they try to repair it, give me a new one, or give me problems? It’s under warranty. Thanks =]

It is sad to see that the adult entertainment industry has jumped on board with the latest technology, using things like the iPod and PSP to distribute porn. I have not seen the church make such a move by distributing church material such as religious movies or sermons for the iPod or PSP. Why is this happening and should they finally take a step into the future. (it is not changing the message that the world needs, it is changing the method in how the message is delivered)

I have a 5th Generation Video Ipod 30gb. It’s not under warranty so i can’t return it. I don’t want to waste my money repairing it as i would rather buy a new one. For a few months now it has been freezing. When i plugged it into itunes today it said ‘Itunes has detected an Ipod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this ipod before it can be used with itunes. You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the ipod.’ I clicked restore and after it had got rid of all my songs it still came up with the same message. i have reconnected it and disconected it many times and tried restoring it several times but i still get the same message. Can anybody help me please.(my itunes works fine as my mums ipod works fine whenever she uses the same itunes with her ipod).

I tried loading Itunes and it keeps coming up an error message. I have un-installed and re-installed it 3 times after that and did the repair to try to get it to work. Ive also downloaded an earlier version of itunes and it did the same thing..Anyone know why?
My iTunes constantly displays a corrupt message when I connect my iPod, and I’ve had to reformat it with iTunes a few times, but when I go to add on my songs again, I can only add on a few at a time or my iTunes will freeze the whole computer. Today my iTunes totally formatted my 20G iPod, and I’ve lost all my songs on my iPod for the third time now. I’m sick of spending countless hours trying to add a few songs back on for my iPod for it to erase them itself and have to start all over again. It’s also running a little loud and making funny clicking sounds when I connect it to my USB port. Does anyone know what the problem is and if it’s worth fixing? What would be the cost of the repairs? Also, I have a voice recorder for my iPod, and for some reason it says my voice memory is full when I have all kinds of free space on my iPod. What the hell is going on?
