I tried loading Itunes and it keeps coming up an error message. I have un-installed and re-installed it 3 times after that and did the repair to try to get it to work. Ive also downloaded an earlier version of itunes and it did the same thing..Anyone know why?
My iTunes constantly displays a corrupt message when I connect my iPod, and I’ve had to reformat it with iTunes a few times, but when I go to add on my songs again, I can only add on a few at a time or my iTunes will freeze the whole computer. Today my iTunes totally formatted my 20G iPod, and I’ve lost all my songs on my iPod for the third time now. I’m sick of spending countless hours trying to add a few songs back on for my iPod for it to erase them itself and have to start all over again. It’s also running a little loud and making funny clicking sounds when I connect it to my USB port. Does anyone know what the problem is and if it’s worth fixing? What would be the cost of the repairs? Also, I have a voice recorder for my iPod, and for some reason it says my voice memory is full when I have all kinds of free space on my iPod. What the hell is going on?

i also tried to repair it but it said ipod service failed to start. i restarted and everything and it said in services and apps that ipod service was on but it still wont open. do you need your ipod plugged in for it to work? i also cant play music files either

yeah i have windows xp and i need to know do i need an ipod plugged in my computer for itunes to go on ok? ive tried everything for like 3 hours

I had itunes on my computer and when it was repaired the technician deleted it. Now I have downloaded itunes again, the computer behaves like a new one, and I get the message that if I synchronise, tunes in my ipod will be erased, and replaced by those in itunes (of which there are none). None of my tunes have been purchased from itunes, and I stand to lose all the tunes in my ipod if I do the wrong thing. How can I get the tunes from my ipod, into itunes on my computer. ipod/itunes Help is useless on this.

Hi, I purchased my ipod back in September of ’05 and in July ’06 it didn’t work and they gave me a new one. Well the one they gave me now doesn’t work. When I try to turn it on, I get the “sick” iPod icon. I can get it into disk mode by holding select and play but it takes a while. And when I connect to my computer, I get the message that iTunes recognized my iPod as corrupt and that I must restore my iPod to do anything. So I click on restore and it gets 2 bars and then stops and eventually gives me an error code (1418) and my iPod cannot be restored. I’m really not sure what to do since I don’t believe my iPod is under warranty and I can’t possibly get it repaired if it’s not under warranty. I’d REALLY appreciate help on this one.
